Our History...

In the spring of 1913 a small group of people gathered in downtown Edmonton to start what became Central Christian Church. Coming out of the history of the Restoration Movement, these founders were committed to the idea of the unity of all followers of Jesus, the weekly celebration of the Lord's Supper, and the good news that Jesus changes the world.

Fast Forward to 1963. Central hristian Church makes the leap of faith to move to what was then the northern Suburbs of Edmonton at 13407 97 Street. Changing their name to First Christian Church, they built our current building and watched the city grow and change around them, still committed the the ideals that drove the church in the beginning.

Our Future...

Almost fifty years later, w're still committed to the Good news that Jesus changes the world. Re-focusing ourselves as Disciples Church, we're committed to changing the world by being and making disciples of Jesus, believing that this is the best gift we can give our community, our city and our world.
